RE: Concertina Cricket Net System
We were very fortunate to receive funding from Chance to Shine to have installed a Concertina Cricket Net System in July 2009.
This has been a huge success with our children, parents and the community. The children have totally become involved with cricket and especially having the opportunity to use the net system. It has certainly improved their skills and team work. When other schools come to visit or play sporting activities the cricket system is always mentioned and they are very impressed with it. The sports teacher coaches cricket and uses the net system in all training activities as well as other sport tutors. All children benefit from the system at play times and lunch times.
It has certainly been a bonus and very beneficial to Newbottle Primary School.

Jonjac Cricket Concertina Net - Cullercoats Primary School
We have had the Jonjac ‘Concertina’ cricket net for one season and the effect has been huge. We have been able to allow the children to strike the ball as hard as they can, without fear of losing the ball. (we have limited space, so no more six and out.)..
The net is easy to assemble and also to put away; it has not taken any of our valuable space, and does not look out of place in the playground.
Our children have qualified to play in the Regional Cricket Finals for the first time, and we felt that this has been as a result of the increased practice afforded to cricket.
Each lunchtime the children have worked hard on their batting, paying particular attention to the pull shot, which we have found difficult to work on, with a lack of space in the past. The skills of our children in bowling have improved considerably; at first they found it a challenge to hit the net, never mind the stumps. Now their bowling is straight – for at least some of the time..
I would whole heartedly recommend the Jonjac ‘Concertina’ cricket net for use in a primary school.

Lord MacLaurin recommends the Concertina
After seeing the Concertina net operation Lord MacLaurin the former Chairman of the ECB has no hesitation in recommending the system. A copy of the letter he sent supporting the product can be seen at Lord MacLaurin letter.
Bournemouth CC
"Just a very quick note to thank you for all your help and advice with regard to the two sets of pitch covers which you have provided us with. The quality of the product has been exceptional and it is true to say that over the last few seasons we have had not had any games cancelled due to problems with water affected wickets despite some terrible storms.
In addition the practice cage has been a contributory factor in our preparation for the Cockspur Cup which we went on to win this year. The feature of the opening back end of the net has been great for enabling our keeper to get plenty of practice"
Malcolm Symons, Vice Chairman, Bournemouth Cricket Club
Northamptonshire CCC
Johnjac installed two Devon Malcolm Mobile Tunnel Cages at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. In a letter we received from Paul Marshall their head groundsman he said:
"Since purchasing the new mobile net cages from Johnjac Cricket Supplies, we have reduced manpower from three men to one, and from 45 minutes to 5 minutes. The added advantage is that players are not restricted from making any shot as the overhead net cage keeps lost balls to zero. The best advantage is that they can be towed away in seconds".
Thomas's School, Battersea & Clapham
Thomas's Schools in London have seven Johnjac Concertina net systems at their schools in Battersea and Clapham.
"We ordered three fold away cricket nets from Johnjac last year for our playground. Installation was completed in a few hours and the team were very thorough and insistent on ensuring we were happy. We used the nets throughout our cricket season and are extremely pleased with them. They look good and offer great flexibility. I would highly recommend the nets and the company"
Simon Gould, Thomas's Battersea
"We have 4 concertina nets in our playground which are a wonderful addition to our facilities. They are well designed and easy to use without taking up huge amounts of space or being unsightly. As a London Day School these nets have enabled us to really progress our senior cricket whilst on site, I highly recommend them."
Jon Chesworth, Head of Boys games, Thomas's Clapham
Bourton Vale Cricket Club, Bourton-On-The-Water, Gloucestershire
Bourton Vale CC purchased their new set of Johnjac covers at the start of the season.
"Our new covers are fabulous and after a full season's use look as good as new! They have saved us at least 4 games this season which has led us to be promoted to Division 1 of the Cherwell League."
Mark A Arthurs, Chairman, Bourton Vale Cricket Club
Southampton Solent University
"As a leading cricketing University playing regularly against the UCCE's, we at Southampton Solent University needed to invest in equipment that would meet the requirements of the top league. Over the last 3 years we have purchased sightscreens, mobile cages and most recently canvas covers from JohnJac. In all cases the need to balance cost, with build quality and easy manoeuvrability has been the key to purchasing choice and JohnJac equipment has proven to be the best on the market" Martin Nailor, Resources Manager, Sport Solent, Southampton Solent University, Southampton
Horsham CC
"Horsham CC are very satisfied with the two Devon Malcolm open back cages we purchased from Johnjac recently, they have been a valuable addition to our newly developed grass facility. Despite their size they are easy to move using the Jacking device. The opening backs give an excellent opportunity for our wicketkeepers to practice in a near real situation. We will always consider John Jac when purchasing again". Nigel Hume, Horsham CC Junior Section
